What is Digital Signage

What is Digital Signage? Put simply, Digital Signage is displaying specifically design content onto a computer or TV screen. When digital signage first started it merely displayed images with embedded text to get the information onto the screen and usually from a usb stick. Now digital signage is a far more sophisticated and dynamic tool with text layering on text-less images, eye catching animations, videos, interactive touch, the display of external data, advanced scheduling, remotely control your content from anywhere across the internet and much more. Today you can practically do what ever you want to get your message across to your audience. You can even target your live audience with specific content. Systems can now react to the audience that is currently watching the screen.

They prove to be over complicated and expensive for the typical average digital signage project. iScreen is a system that is built for the average business that needs a low cost solution with modern state of the art features.

What is digital signage and how it works?

When people ask, what is digital signage and how does it work, they normally mean how does all the content get to the screen? The iScreen system consists of a server, a user interface, a media player (client). These all connect to each other over an internet (network) connection to display the content onto the screen
The Server: Controls the system and is the technical backbone that communicates between all the elements synchronizing all content file to the clients.
The User Interface: Hosted on the server this is the user interface that provides all functions and settings for Screen connection, Content creation and editing, Scheduling, Templates, Users and Datasources.
The Client: Software that allows the media player to display the iScreen content scheduled presentations.
The Screen: An HDMI screen of any size that displays the content,
Sectors: SuitableĀ for multi-sector usage including the Restaurant and Food Industry, Hospitality, Retail, Health, Workplace, Building/Facility, and more
